Last week, I took some time to reflect on the past and thank all of the readers, subscribers and those who just share ideas with the Mountain Home News. This week, I want to pivot and look at what 2018 has to offer. While I don't know what 2018 will hold, I am very excited for the possibilities. It's one of those moments where you know you're on the verge of something great, you can almost taste it, but you have no idea what it is...

This has been a long year for my family. In fact, it seems to have been a long, hard year for many people I know. I can't even count the number of times I have said "can 2017 just be over already" or heard something similar said by others. My family personally experienced death over and over this year and had to say goodbye more times than seemed even slightly fair...
