Bertha Josephine Harney, age 84 of Owyhee, Nev., passed away at a Boise care center, on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

The Idaho State Police issued an advisory Thursday afternoon warning drivers to remain extra cautious on the interstate and other roadways as a winter storm continues to blanket southern Idaho. As of 3:45 p.m. that afternoon, local law enforcement was reporting multiple slideoffs and accidents on the interstate directly tied to the icy conditions...

William Howard "Bill" Fortner, 69, passed away peacefully Dec. 9, 2015 of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Willard Leroy Spalding, age 78 of Glenns Ferry, passed away at his home on Dec. 16, 2015, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glenns Ferry. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
