WECRD ends long-term contract with YMCA

by Tim Bondy Mountain Home News A long-standing contract between the Treasure Valley YMCA and Western Elmore County Recreation District ended last week while construction officially began on a community recreation center in Mountain Home. Hundreds gather for Parade of Lights event

Giving Tree tags still available

People in the Mountain Home area still have time to help needy families make ends meet through the holiday season by participating in this year's Giving Tree program. As of Dec. 9, Giving Tree volunteers still had 70 tags listing the names of children in the local area needing "something from Santa" who would not receive anything otherwise, Giving Tree officials said...
