Teacher evaluations, classroom ratios, teacher salaries and budgets for classroom supplies were a big part of the conversations at two teacher negotiation meetings this month. The School Board for District 193 and the Mountain Home Education Association met on June 6 and 11 to discuss teachers concerns going into next school year. The June 11 meeting of the Mountain Home City Council became an international affair with Councilman Matt Bundy phoning in from Germany where he is currently in educator mode with a group of high school age students from Mountain Home. Shelia Thompson, 55, passed away June 17, 2018 after a hard fought battle with Ovarian Cancer, with her family by her side. Her strong will to live and love of life kept her going and being optimistic to the end. She was the beloved wife of Donald Eugene Thompson Jr and mother of three children Jessica, Donald III, and Kirsten. Shelia was born in Phoenix, Arizona on August 21, 1962 and is survived by her parents Franklin and Luideth Jenkins, and 9 siblings...
