St. Vincent De Paul is hosting its free lunch program for the sixth year at Carl Miller Park and Skyview Terrace Apartments. The program is free to children between the ages of one to 18. Adults are welcome to join for a cost of $2.50. Typical lunches will have a grain, two proteins, and two fruits or vegetables. The Mountain Home Public Library hosted Cecil the Magician on June 15 at West Elementary. The event started approximately 15 minutes late due to a transformer being out and not having most of the lighting in the gym of the elementary school. When the children began to get restless waiting for the show to start Cecil performed a few slight of hand tricks for his audience.
