At a regularly scheduled meeting of the Urban Renewal Agency on Monday June 18, the Urban renewal Agency agreed to purchase property within the URA area at 195 North 2nd East, more commonly referred to as "The Hub Building." In addition, they agreed to purchase the vacant lot directly across the street. The agreement is scheduled to close on Aug. 31. The Western Elmore County Recreation District is still seeking interest from city council in Railroad Park. WECRD President Dan Gillies informed the board he had been approached by a developer with a tentative price for the park.
