The Elmore County Sheriff's Office will conduct an "active shooter" exercise March 28 at Glenns Ferry High School. The drill will take place from roughly 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the school's annual spring break time. Wayne Olds, 52, lost his battle with cancer on March 19, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Boise, Idaho. He was born Sept. 19, 1960, in Mountain Home. Wayne served time in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge, then returned to his home town. He then moved to Boise where he was employed in varies jobs...

Mary Alice Stone, 87, of Mountain Home, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at a local hospital. Services will be held on Monday, March 25, with a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. and the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 790 S.
