In light of the continued prevalence of H1N1 flu in the community, Elmore Medical Center has implemented precautionary steps to protect patients, visitors and staff from the flu. Respiratory stations are being placed in the hospital and clinic front entrances. All visitors and patients who come into the facility with flu-like symptoms will be required to put on a mask and use hand sanitizer. Masks should cover both the mouth and nose when worn properly...

Awards and letters were handed out at the Mountain Home Lady Tigers volleyball awards banquet on Nov. 5. In awards voted on by the varsity team, the most inspirational award went to Caitlin Kreyche. Jessica Liercke was voted the most improved player. The workhorse award went to Arlene Futch, who also led the team with a 90 percent serving percentage...
