The Mountain Home City Council met on Nov. 25, 2019, for a regularly scheduled meeting. After quickly approving the consent agenda the council returned to the discussion of whether or not to paint the curbs red on a portion of Cinderloop Drive. Elmore County's first sober club, The 7/11 Recovery Club, opened on Aug. 10, 2019 and in the months since it has seen tremendous growth. The club was started with the vision of being a gathering place for people recovering from addictions to hang out with like-minded people in a clean environment. Leslie Strauch, age 57, of Mountain Home, passed away at a Boise hospital on December 2, 2019. Arrangements are under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Geraldine Z. “Geri” Covey, age 94, of Mountain Home, passed away at a Meridian care center on December 5, 2019. Service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
