August community dinner

The Mountain Home Church of the Nazarene invites people to join them for a community dinner August 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Hall. The meal will consist of a taco salad, cookies and drinks. There will also be a distribution of new undergarments to school age children within the community...

Annual pie and cake social coming soon

The annual cake and pie social sponsored by the Mountain Home Historical Society will be setting out sweets for the community Aug. 15 between 5:30 and 7 p.m. in front of the museum at 180 south 3rd East. Cakes and pies are supplied by community members and anyone who wishes to support the fundraiser can bring sweets on the 15th any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Some of goodies will be auctioned off and others will be served free to the public...

After finding "insufficient evidence to prove the charged offense beyond a reasonable doubt," Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Elmore County Jessica Kuehn moved to dismissed charges against Dr. John Goodrich. Goodrich was originally charged with rape, incest and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16. However, two of those charges were dropped and he was due to stand trial for lewd conduct with a child under sixteen when the charges were dropped...
