Following their award-winning appearance at a district-level competition in late January, two Mountain Home students became some of the state's top basketball sharpshooters during a yearly competition held Saturday in Grangeville. Dale Richard Estes (Emoji man), 54, of Mountain Home, tragically passed away in an automobile accident the morning of Feb. 6, 2017, in Grand View. No formal service will be held. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Donald Ray Wood, 73, passed away in the evening of Feb. 6, 2017, in Boise while surrounded by his family. A celebration of Don's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, and inurnment with military honors will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home.
