UPDATE: One killed in three-vehicle crash

The eastbound side of the interstate in the vicinity of milepost 76 was temporarily blocked due to a fatal three-vehicle crash reported around 9 a.m. Jan. 8. Eastbound traffic was diverted off the interstate onto Desert Wind Road at the Simco Road exit as emergency responders cleared the crash site.

Train collides with semi truck

The driver of a semi truck was reportedly injured following a collision with a Union Pacific train Friday morning. The crash was reported at 10:29 p.m. near the intersection of Ditto Creek and Cinder Cone roads.
