Write-in Rich Wootan defeated Rusty Trail 63-33 for the Zone 1 trustee position in the Glenns Ferry School District Tuesday night. In the Zone 5 race, John Taylor defeated Joseph McFarland by a 55-26 margin. The race for the District 2 commissioner's seat for the Atlanta Highway District set an historic first for Elmore County -- the first time any election saw a 100 percent turnout of registered voters.
