Local Civil Air Patrol unit seeks sponsors for wreath-laying salute to veterans

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho--Members of The Mountain Home Civil Air Patrol Squadron invite the public to sponsor remembrance wreaths for placement on the graves of veterans on Dec. 11 to honor those who served our country as well as current military members. Sponsors can even designate where the wreaths will be laid in the local community. Emil Nejdl passed away peacefully in his sleep on Oct. 28, 2011, at a Boise care center. He was born on April 9, 1924, in Friend, Neb., to Louis Nejdl and Mary Kotel. Emil faced many hardships in his formative years during The Great Depression. His education was interrupted with WWII and Emil enlisted in the Navy. ...
