UPDATE: An ammonia leak at the Teton Valley Ranch food processing plant resulted in the temporary evacuation of about 75 homes in the south part of town Wednesday night.

Jonathon and Jessica Miller of Mountain Home have announced the birth of a son, Aydin Jay Miller, on June 1, 2007, at the MHAFB hospital. Aydin weighed 6 lbs. 11.2 oz and was 19 inches long at birth. Grandparents are Doug and Bonnie Huffman and Richard and Usa Miller of Mountain Home...

Bonnie Peterson and Charles Crane were married July 4, 2007, in Emmett. The couple will live in Mountain Home. Bonnie is the daughter of Caroyln and Mack Phillips of Buhl, and Charles is the son of Marilyn and Terrol Crane of Victor, Mont.

Dave Schmidt and Bev Duncombe were united in marriage on Saturday, July 28, 2007. They were attended by their six children and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Mountain Home. Bev's sister from Stevensville, Mont.,her high school friend from Bozeman Mont., and granddaughter and great-grandaughter from Florida, and granddaughter and three great-grandchildren from Hagerman, also were present for the occasion...

Betty Morgan, 82, of Mountain Home, died Monday, July 30, 2007, at a local hospital. No local services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Elaine Sproat (Hitt) Schwager, 90, of Boise, formerly of Mountain Home, died July 28, 2007, from complications following a stroke. The American Cancer Society Elmore County Relay for Life committee is hosting a Survivor's Reception on Friday, Aug. 10, from 6-8 p.m. at the Mountain Home RV Park (Community Room) in Mountain Home.
