At 9 a.m. Monday local emergency service crews were called out to the K-Mart parking lot after a report had been received that customers in the "store" there had been exposed to a possible biological threat. Nampa woman injured in boat accident on Snake River (Local News ~ 06/28/06)
A 45-year-old Nampa woman was severely injured in a boating accident on the Snake River near King Hill this weekend. Connie Ohlhauser and her husband, Clifford Kennell, were traveling in a jet boat accompanied by a couple in another boat, and were heading downstream to the King Hill boat ramp when they struck some rocks. Fire crews battle rangeland fires

The sirens of fire trucks are being heard often in the Mountain Home area these days as local and state fire crews have begun battling a rash of wildfires that have broken out.
