Dear editor, Just thought I'd let people know that Pine is not closed. After the news reports from the sheriff's department and the Mountain Home Ranger District, everyone must have thought we were inaccessible. True, there has been flooding, and Elks Flat campground is closed. But Anderson Reservoir is full (bass fishing must be good), and camping is available around the shoreline...

Dear editor, Our power has been out along our street for 17 hours. That is seventeen hours. A neighbor I spoke with recently put in a few hundred dollars of groceries to feed her family. We put in over a hundred as well, and considering that payday was just a few days prior, I am certain that others have fresh groceries as well...
