Reward offered for poached sturgeon (Local News ~ 11/08/12)
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game has increased its offer to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who illegally poached a sturgeon, probably near the King Hill pump station on the Snake River. The head of the fish, a species that has existed for 200 million years, was found in the river near the pump station. Idaho Fish and Game Conservation Officer Jeff Day said that based on the size of the head he estimated the sturgeon was six- to seven-feet long...
