The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning regarding a scam targeting people in the local area. In a post shared on social media, the scammers target family members of those currently incarcerated at the Elmore County Jail.

The scam begins as these family members receive phone calls from a person claiming to be Sgt. Bradshaw from the sheriff’s office. During these calls, the man offers a 30-day diversion program in which families would pay $3,000 to have all charges against these inmates dropped if they successfully complete this program.
