Report: State’s workplace fatalities rose

Workers with companies and businesses in Elmore County remained safer while the number of workplace fatalities in other counties across the state increased last year, according to a report released by the Idaho Department of Labor.

Information included in the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries report, which highlighted data collected in 2023, showed that Idaho had 48 workplace fatalities that year – a 23 percent increase from 2022.
