Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Kicks Off the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie Season, Helping Girls Unbox Brighter Futures for Themselves and Their Communities

Consumers in Southern Idaho and parts of Northern Nevada and Eastern Oregon can support local Girl Scouts at Cookie Booths, in Person, or Online

BOISE, IDAHO (Feb. 18, 2025) – On Friday, February 21, 2025, Girl Scouts of Silver Sage will kick off their annual Girl Scout Cookie Program and celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend. This is a time when local Girl Scouts hone their entrepreneurial skills as they find new and inventive ways to sell cookies, unboxing brighter futures for themselves. With the much-anticipated Cookie Season here, cookie lovers can rejoice as they indulge in both classic and newer cookie varieties.

The 2025 cookie lineup is jam-packed with nine varieties of highly sought-after cookies, including Thin Mints®, Caramel deLites®, Peanut Butter Patties®, and more. At the close of the 2025 Cookie Season, the beloved cookie flavor, Toast-Yay!®, will be retired. Toast-Yay!® enthusiasts can get their hands on the last of these favorite sweet treats by reaching out to a Girl Scout they know for their individual Digital Cookie® online sales link or find a nearby Cookie Booth at www.girlscoutcookies.com.

When girls participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world, they acquire a host of invaluable entrepreneurial skills, including goal setting, money management, decision making, people skills, and business ethics. Each box of cookies sold allows Girl Scouts to develop an inextinguishable entrepreneurial spirit, gaining courage, confidence, and character as they reach their goals and embark on new adventures. Girl Scouts learn and practice transferable life skills as they earn a variety of badges and awards, including Cookie Business badges, Financial Literacy badges, Cookie Entrepreneur Family pins, and Entrepreneurship badges.

“The Five Skills are at the heart of the Girl Scout Cookie Program,” explains Jessica Burke, Interim CEO of Girl Scouts of Silver Sage. “Those skills are part of what makes the Girl Scout Leadership Experience so unique and sets participating girls up for lifelong achievement in everything they do.”

This season, Girl Scout of Silver Sage encourages community members to support the girls behind each box and enjoy the treats for yourself, share them with others, or donate them through Operation Cookie. Girl Scouts of Silver Sage distributes the donated cookies to partner organizations throughout their local service area that provide cookies to veterans and active-duty military members.

All proceeds from cookie sales stay local and fuel inspiring experiences throughout the year including camp, amazing trips, service projects, and much more.
