Title Mountain Home and Bruneau Nonprofits invited to Apply for Youth in Philanthropy Grants
Mountain Home, Idaho — The Idaho Community Foundation is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Idaho Youth in Philanthropy Project (YIPP). Nonprofit organizations serving Bruneau and/or Mountain Home are encouraged to apply for grant funding of up to $2,000. The deadline to apply is March 7, 2025.
The Idaho Youth in Philanthropy Project is a hands-on leadership program empowering high school students in rural Idaho to address the unique challenges facing their communities. Each of the six participating high schools will distribute $5,000 in grants to local nonprofits tackling critical local needs.
Eligible Organizations:
Applications are open to 501(c)(3) public charities, faith-based organizations, and public entities (such as cities, counties, and libraries) providing services to residents in the selected communities.
How to Apply:
Nonprofits interested in applying can download the application form located online at www.idahocf.org/grants-scholarships.php and submit it via email to grants@idahocf.org. The application should outline how the organization serves the community, the challenges it addresses, and how grant funding would be used.
About YIPP:
The Idaho Youth in Philanthropy Project aims to develop leadership, critical thinking, and collaboration skills among high school students in rural Idaho. By learning about philanthropy and nonprofits, students gain the tools to strengthen their hometowns and foster lifelong civic engagement.
“This project is a win-win,” said Tim Adams, ICF Board Member and Consultant serving YIPP schools. “Nonprofits have the chance to secure funding for vital programs, and students learn the value of giving back to their communities while addressing real-world challenges.”
