UPDATE: The missing men and child were located Monday afternoon.

The Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office requested the public’s help as the search continued to locate three men and one child who were reportedly reported missing as they went hunting in an area south of Bruneau and Grand View on Sunday.

According to information released by the county law enforcement agency, the four individuals traveled to the Unit 41 hunting area on the eastern side of Owyhee County between Feb. 1 and 2 but hadn’t returned at the designated time they previously planned.

Last reported driving a silver 2012 Toyota Tacoma, all four individuals brought food and water with them as they entered this hunting area. As the search continued on Monday, sheriff’s deputies from Owyhee County continued to try contacting them by “pinging” their mobile phone devices while working to help pinpoint their location.

In addition, members from the Idaho National Guard and state Civil Air Patrol used various aircraft to aid in this search. Along with private citizens, others conducting this search through this designated hunting area include members from the Bureau of Land Management, Idaho Fish and Game, Mountain Search and Rescue, Duck Valley Fire Department and deputies from the sheriff’s office in Twin Falls.

Those with any information regarding the location of these four people are asked to call the Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 495-1154.
