Service agreement faces issues

A failed yearly payment between the city and county that prompted the Elmore County commissioners to approve an agreement involving local dispatch services with Mountain Home highlighted a series of discussions the city council addressed during a meeting Jan. 14.

At issue involved a letter recently signed by Bud Corbus, chairman of the county commissioners, as well as commissioner Albert Hofer and Sheriff Mike Hollinshead, who stated the cooperative agreement between the city and county involving dispatch services may end because the city failed to make a payment for these services before the Nov. 1 deadline.
