Stephensen remains closed due to power issues

Update: Power issues at Stephensen Elementary School at Mountain Home Air Force Base prompted school officials to cancel classes again on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

Power issues prompted officials at Stephensen Elementary School at Mountain Home Air Force Base to cancel classes on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

In a posted share on social media on Monday, school principal Robynn Schipani said electricians continued to work to resolve the issue while adding that other schools in the Mountain Home School District will remain open that day.

"We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your continued patience... as we work to address this matter," said Schipani, who added that school officials will provide updates as more information becomes available.
