Story highlights need to watch for animals

Dear editor,

I was sorry to read about the four cows killed by motorists in the story published in the Dec. 25, 2024, edition of the Mountain Home News, but I so appreciated your piece because it actually mentioned the cows who were hit on Highway 51 near Bruneau.

So many news stories fail to mention the animals in stories like this unless it is a pet so I appreciate your reminding readers that cows suffer and die when hit by cars just as much as a cat or dog would.
