Police investigating vandalism at city pool

Following a four-year closure, efforts to rebuild the community’s outdoor swimming complex began in July. However, that project may remain on hold as police continue their investigation into a case in which people illegally entered this area and rode skateboards across the pool’s newly renovated concrete surface.

Local law enforcement continued its investigation into a case in which people illegally entered the Mountain Home city pool complex currently under construction and potentially damaged the newly rebuilt floor of the outdoor pool.

In a post shared on social media, city officials reported that security cameras recorded these individuals skateboarding along the floor of the city’s pool, which remained closed over the past four years after the boiler unit needed to heat its water lost several thermostat switches in a short amount of time, said city clerk Tiffany Belt.
