Oledeen West Jourdan Bermensolo
Oledeen West Jourdan Bermensolo was born May 25, 1937, and passed December 22, 2024. Dean as she liked to be called (because no one could pronounce Oledeen) was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. Dean was a brave woman dragging 5 brats 1400 miles away from family to a state and town where she knew no one after her first husband past. Being that far from home she took a job while going to school to raise those 5 obnoxious brats. They may have been brats but she loved them unconditionally. While raising her children she had the good fortune to fall in love again and remarry. Then took on raising a grandchild who she also loved unconditionally. In our opinion she was brave, strong, and determined woman. She also had a silly streak and was extremely funny.
Dean was preceded in death by her husbands James A. Jourdan and John D. Bermensolo, and her eldest son James M. Jourdan. She is survived by her children and their spouses John and Ester Jourdan, Jessie and Peggy Jourdan, Janet Price, Jennifer and Kevin Adams, and James D. and Victoria Jourdan.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Stephanie TeBeau, Toni Kendall, Jessica Jourdan and Kevin Adams and seven great grandchildren Iann, Kevin, Annabelle, Quin, Austin, Karleigh and Rhyan.
We all love her and are grateful for her guiding hand and determined spirit and she will be truly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday December 31, 2024 at Rost Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery.
