Concerns aired over stray animals

Information presented at last week’s city council meeting addressed concerns regarding the number of stray animals in the Mountain Home area, including colonies of cats whose numbers continue to increase.

Existing laws regarding the treatment of stray and abandoned pets headlined a series of discussions addressed by the city council during a scheduled meeting Dec. 10.

The meeting began as local citizens met before the council to address concerns with regards to the number of dogs and cats running loose in some neighborhoods across the local area.
