P&Z discusses proposed substation plan

Plans to build an electrical substation on the westside of Mountain Home took a step forward as members of the city’s planning and zoning commission discussed this project during its monthly meeting Dec. 3.

The conditional use permit application submitted by Idaho Power highlighted the construction of the Sawmill Substation, located east of Optimist Park, as well as plans to rebuild a 60-year-old electrical transmission line needed to carry the increased electrical power through this part of town.
