City prepares for holiday parade

Displays in Railroad Park and other areas in the city’s downtown area highlight the community’s holiday tradition, which includes this year’s Parade of Lights.

A yearly tradition returns to Mountain Home this Friday as hundreds of people from the Mountain Home community gather across parts of the city’s downtown area to help usher in the holiday season during the city’s annual Christmas Parade of Lights.

Scheduled to start at 6 p.m. that evening next to the Fire Station 1, the yearly parade marks the first “official” appearance of Santa Claus in Mountain Home and wraps up at Railroad Park.
