Gray, murky skies and a persistent breeze let out an ominous, haunted aura in the Mountain Home area as families gathered in the city’s downtown area to enjoy an evening of fun and candy Friday evening.

Held days before this year’s Halloween holiday, the annual Spooktacular event drew hundreds of people that made the trek around the vicinity of the Hub Plaza to take part in a number of contests and activities geared for all ages.
