Kathryn Ann Heinen

Kathryn Ann Heinen, beloved wife, mother, nanna, great nanna, great-great nanna, sister and friend, passed away October 6, 2024.

Kay was born on March 7, 1939, in St. Joe, Iowa. Kay was born into a family of nine children. Kay was an adventurer. She married the love of her life and enjoyed traveling around the world with Larry Heinen. As a dedicated USAF wife, she always loved making new friends. Kay was a nurse and in banking over the years too.

Kay was very involved with the Catholic Church. She was active in the Mother Cabrini Sodality women’s group, skeet, traveling and family.

Kay will always be remembered for her joy of games and the best deviled eggs and fruit pizza. Her hand made quilts were awesome.

Kay will be greatly missed by her loving family. David, her son and his wife Kimberly; Three grandchildren: Krystal, Michael, Megan and their spouses; four great grandchildren: Clayton, Kirsten, Greyson and Lucas; as well as a great-great grandchild Oliver.

Rest in peace with Larry Heinen.

A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 11:30 Wednesday November 6, 2024, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church followed by a funeral mass at Noon. Everyone is invited to join the family for a luncheon following the mass.
