Changes to state graduation requirements seek to better prepare high school students for “the fourth R” – the reality awaiting them after graduation, said state board president Linda Clark.

The ability for students to use digital technologies to access, evaluate, create and communicate information represents one of the changes officials with the Idaho Department of Education plan to include as they continued work to modify the state’s education requirements.

The inclusion of digital literacy and updated requirements for existing projects high school seniors complete each year represent some of the changes officials with the Idaho Department of Education recently introduced and unanimously approved as state lawmakers prepare to discuss these changes to state graduation requirements.
