Pool project continues moving forward

Crews recently finished work to pour concrete in key areas of the pool complex, which includes the designated lap swimming area on the left side of this photo with the areas to the right set to serve as a “zero beach area” that allows people with mobility problems easer access to the pool in compliance with the American With Disabilities Act.

Ongoing work aimed at rebuilding the community’s outdoor swimming complex at Richard Aguirre Park saw more progress as work continued on the more visible elements of this restoration project.

In early September, crews began pouring concrete in key parts of the pool area, including the flooring leading downward to the deep end of the future lap lane swimming area as well as another that will one day serve as a place for people to take swimming lessons.
