School district gains SRO funding boost

The Mountain Home School District was one of more than two dozen school districts and charter schools across Idaho that gained a boost in their efforts to provide a safe and secure school environment with newly-available funding for school resource officers.

Efforts by state lawmakers as well as the state’s Millenium Fund administered by the Idaho Department of Education allowed Mountain Home to provide funding for the member of the city police department who serves as a school resource officer, or SROs, at the district’s schools here.
