Myrtle Ann Hall
Myrtle Ann Hall, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great - great grandmother, was born August 18,1932 in Phoenix, Arizona to Samuel and Ethel Owings. She died peacefully at home with her family by her side on October 1, 2024. She moved to Boise when she was 18 months old with her family. They eventually settled in the King Hill area. She attended school in King Hill before marrying the love of her life, Lester Hall on December 7, 1948 in Elko, Nevada. Her and Lester lived on their ranch in King Hill, homesteading and raising 9 children. 5 girls and 4 boys. In the late 70’s they sold their ranch and moved into a brand new mobile home in King Hill. Myrtle raised her children to be self-sufficient and hardworking.
Myrtle, a fiercely independent spirit, led a life full of love and laughter, leaving an unforgettable mark on those who knew her. Known for her quick wit and strong personality, Myrtle found joy in a variety of hobbies. She loved crocheting, knitting and fishing and could often be found scratching lottery tickets or playing cards, especially Pinochle. Her adventurous spirit shone through in her fondness for the Hagerman Rodeo, the Filer Fair and trips to Jackpot, along with cherished family camp outs in Pine.
Myrtle dedicated much of her life to caring for her family and she remained a loving and doting mother and grandmother until her final days.
She worked at Magic West and also waitressed at the Trophy Club, where her warm personality and strong work ethic endeared her to many.
Above all, Myrtle treasured being with her family. Her independence and resilience defined her character. She is remembered for her strength, humor and the love she so freely shared.
Myrtle's passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and love will continue to bless all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Myrtle is survived by daughters; Josie Chafin, Celia Ann(George) Harrigfeld, Christine(Joe) Lish, Susie Stewart, Connie(Brian) Crawshaw, 2 sons; Arnold(Susan) Hall and Alvin (Jean) Hall. Grandchildren; Dean and Allen(Brenda), Teresa, Denise(Steve) George Jr.(Michelle), Leslie, Zachary, Chris(Candace), Josh, Brittney(Dallas), Julia(Darren), Cody (Crystal), Allen, Tacia and Heather (Scott), and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, husband Lester Hall, 2 son’s; Wayne and GuyVern Hall and 2 granddaughters, Brandy and Amanda.
Services will be held on October 13th at 1pm at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry under the direction of Rost Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Idaho.
