Ceremony honors school’s title

Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction Debbie Critchfield joined representatives from the state’s lawmakers along with city officials, military leaders and members of the Mountain Home School District to celebrate the first school in Idaho to gain a title honoring its support to military-connected students.

During a ceremony Friday morning, Stephensen Elementary School at Mountain Home Air Force Base officially became the state’s first school to earn the Purple Star School designation.
