Water project celebrates next step

A symbolic gesture representing an ongoing effort to provide a dedicated source of water to Mountain Home Air Force Base took flight last Tuesday as state lawmakers joined city and county officials and military officials to officially break ground on a water treatment facility at the local base.

Gov. Brad Little, Lt. Gov. Scott Bedke and Idaho Water Resource Board Chairman Jeff Raybould joined 366th Fighter Wing Commander Col. Michael Alfaro and Army Maj. Joseph O’Donnell, deputy district commander for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Seattle district, to celebrate the next milestone of this ongoing project.
