West Elementary to start fundraising effort

The scheduled fundraisers seek to replace the play structure on the third- and fourth-grade playground area at West Elementary School that were recently removed.

Teachers and administrators at West Elementary School plan to hold fundraisers in coming weeks to provide needed funding for a playground upgrade project at the school.

During the school’s first parent meeting of the new school year held in late August, school officials outlined the plans to update and enhance its outdoor play area.
