Lightning storms trigger local range fires

Lightning from thunderstorm storms soaring across southern Idaho during the Labor Day weekend triggered multiple range fires across the state, including five located north and south of Mountain Home.

Reports received from the Idaho Bureau of Land Management indicated these fires scorched more than 10,500 acres of range land as crews worked to contain each of these blazes early last week.
