We are here to celebrate the lives of Bill and Jaqueline Madden. They were married for 47 years to each other and had two children together and two children from Bill’s previous marriage. They traveled to many different countries together and experienced many different cultures during Bill’s service to the United States Air Force. They were very dedicated and involved parents. In 2012, they uprooted and moved to Maryland to care for their youngest son, Chad Harold Madden, who had had a tragic accident that left him a ventilator dependent quadriplegic. That’s the kind of selfless parents they were.

Bill was born in Blytheville, AR on Dec 16th, 1940 to William and Ruth Madden. He spent 20 years serving this country in the USAF. He is a Vietnam veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star for valor and a Purple Heart during his 3 separate deployments during the war. He retired in 1980 here in Mtn. Home, Id. Six years after retirement, he took a position with Civil Service on the same base he retired from and served for another 20 years before a second retirement. He is the father of 4 children. Bill could strike up a conversation with anyone he met and had a witty sense of humor. He was a 2x cancer survivor and an avid outdoorsman. He loved animals and was, at one time, VP of the Mountain Home Humane Society. He came to the Lord late in life and tried his best to live by His word. We lost him on January 15th, 2017, at age 75, to complications from chronic pneumonia and COPD.

Jaqueline was born in Santa Barbara, CA on March 12th, 1947 to Jay and Leta Mae Woods. She was an avid and skilled equestrian who enjoyed riding and training in dressage and loved anything and everything horse-related. She was a dedicated military wife and mother, who held the fort down during Bill’s many deployments while serving his country. Once Bill retired, she pursued her dream of helping animals big and small by becoming a certified veterinary technician, an accomplishment she was very proud of. She worked for Dr. Irving LeVine and his wife Sally for over 20 years. She was a very devout Christian who aspired to live by Jesus’s teachings. She fell asleep the night of May 7th, 2024, at the age of 77, after being ill for a couple of weeks and God took her home to His Kingdom.

Bill and Jacqueline have been united together in God’s Kingdom, along with their youngest son, Chad, who succumbed to an aneurysm on November 9th, 2023. They are survived by their other three children, Dr. Mitchell Madden, Dawn Madden, and Travois Madden. Jaqueline was also proceeded by her brother, Jay F. Woods II, and is survived by her younger sister Janet Everett (Woods) and her nephew, Jay F. Woods III.
