Work continues to replace city’s pool

Construction crews work to measure out the perimeter of the city’s new outdoor pool complex ar Richard Aguirre Park.

Following a four-year closure, efforts to rebuild the community’s outdoor swimming complex continued to move forward this week as maintenance crews worked to launch the first phase of the restoration project.

City officials closed the pool facility at Richard Aguirre Park during the summer of 2020 after the boiler unit that heated the pool water lost several thermostat switches in a short amount of time, said city clerk Tiffany Belt.
