Student literacy skills improve

ricts across the state showed moderate gains in their overall reading, spelling and vocabulary skills over the past year, according to data released last week by the Idaho Department of Education.

Twice a year, students in kindergarten to third grade complete the Idaho Reading Indicator, or IRI, test to measure their early literacy skills.
