Nearly 390 people faced arrest in connection with crimes in the local area in 2023, the state police report stated.

The crime rate in Mountain Home and Elmore County fell by nearly 25 percent in 2023 although the number of people arrested in connection with reported crimes actually climbed during that 12-month period, according to a yearly report from the Idaho State Police.
