Marjorie Lee Streeter

Marjorie Lee Streeter passed June 6, 2024 peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born July 21, 2928, a 3rd generation Montrose in Hagerman, Idaho. She was the youngest of 8 children. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Tyna and Arthur Montrose, husband Oscar Jack Streeter, brothers Ted, Turk, Owen, Norman, and Bob and her sisters Coila and Marian.

Marjorie graduated from Elko High School and attended college the University of Nevada in Reno and the Salt Lake Community College. She returned to Elko to work as the Editor of the Elko Free Press. She then met her husband “Jack” and they were married in 1955. They traveled all over with the Air Forces. In Bermuda she was Executive Secretary with Timex Watches.

Their final station was Mountain Home AFB, where Marjorie work as an Advertising Consultant for the Mountain Home News. She then opened up an antique store. She had many throughout the years.

He husband was a farmer and a Real Estate broker. She was his partner and secretary for many years. She opened and owned the Today’s Rag’s Boutique, and the Lemon Tree Restaurant.

Marjorie raised 4 children: Deanna, Sally, Hartley and Ozzie all still living. She also raised her two daughters from a previous marriage, Patti and Polly Damele.

Her biggest love was God, Family, Antiques and Gardening. She was 95 years old.

Funeral services will be held June 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 23rd at the American Legion Hall at 11:00 a.m. with potluck, videos, and speakers.
