Weaver conviction set aside by 4th Judicial District Court

On June 4, 2024, Idaho 4th Judicial District Court entered a judgment setting aside Mountain Home resident Ricky Weaver’s felony “solicitation for hire” conviction entered by a jury on March 6, 2020. Weaver had been serving a 10 year fixed sentence for the conviction, and had been incarcerated since December 20, 2018, when he was arrested on a “no knock” warrant at his home. Weaver filed a post-conviction petition seeking a vacating of his conviction on June 18, 2021
