May 16, 2024 Mountain Home, ID– The Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Reservation have urged the Biden administration and Idaho Governor to reject an Indian gaming project being advanced by the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes on lands within the ancestral territory of the Shoshone-Paiute People.

Shoshone-Bannock proposes to build a 154-acre destination resort and its fourth tribal casino, in the Boise, Idaho suburb of Mountain Home, which constitutes Shoshone-Paiute ancestral homelands. The project sits 200 miles from Shoshone-Bannock’s headquarters in Fort Hall, Idaho.

Shoshone-Bannock recently filed an application for approval from the U.S. Department of the Interior and Governor of Idaho to build the facility.
