May is National Electrical Safety Month

Idaho Power is marking National Electrical Safety Month by sharing ways you can keep your home and family safe.

Inspect power cords, and replace any that are damaged or frayed.

Don’t plug too many cords into one outlet, and if you have young children, place safety covers on outlets.

Keep electric appliances away from water, and ensure any outlets near water sources — such as bathrooms or kitchens — are GFCI protected.
