A few weeks ago, Council requested a water sample test be done in the area where the last asbestos water lines are located. Public Works have recieved the results and NO ASBESTOS OR ASBESTOS FIBERS were detected.

Reminder: Asbestos water lines are very common in municipalities and Mountain Home is not the only city with remaining lines. Water lines that were put in from 1930-1970 probably have a asbestos coating and the City has been actively replacing them, but due to budget constraints, there are still some remaining.
